I hope no one minds answering this: What languages did you speak or write back in your world/galaxy/universe/etc? If you have the time, could you also write out the alphabet of the languages you know and attach a picture of them in your reply?

I recently found out that a language I know matches up with someone else's, and we aren't even from the same galaxy. It could be interesting to see if any others are the same. I don't know if this information will be useful later on, but I'm going to keep a record of it all just in case.

I was taught many different languages.. Latin, French... anything I would have to read philosophy in, really.

Either way, this place probably already has that database - there has to be some kind of algorithm to bringing us all here, after all. It wouldn't make sense if there wasn't.

I don't believe one second's worth of that 'anomaly' talk. Though, maybe I am overly paranoid, I will admit. This place reminds me a lot of my former home, and the reminder of that is not entirely a pleasant one.

Still - I would be wary of believing too much. There is no reason to implicitly trust this ship or these people.

I think collecting information on spoken and written languages is a great idea! Even though we were all brought here by chance, learning a little more about each other may bring us closer together as a community.

Of course! Learning about other cultures is vital if we are to understand each other as allies. And a database of collected languages may prove important in the future.

[mind you she still knows very little about humans beyond them having ugly round ears but to be fair, their lifestyle back where she's from is time sensitive and busy....]

It is interesting seeing how many similarities there are between galaxies.

I'm always happy to share aspects of my culture with others.

My native language is Twi'leki. It's certainly possible for other people to learn it, but it's difficult to convey all the meaning in a phrase unless you are a Twi'lek, with lekku. Our language includes gestures, as well as words.

Japanese is my first language, English my second. I can also provide a respectable kanji vocabulary if you like.

I love surveys! I attached photos for the writing, and I don't think my answers are surprising to you, but here they are regardless!

My primary language is Russian, with secondary and tertiary languages of English and French.

( He includes photos of all three languages, though with the Cyrillic script, he also includes a cursive alphabet. Then for the heck of it, he includes a second attachment, where he's written the alphabet for English and French as well in cursive. He supports your projects, Yuuri! Publicly and otherwise. )

I knew you spoke French, but I don't hink I've ever heard you use it before.

English, Spanish, and some French. But all of these are languages that use the same alphabet, save for a few accents on certain letters. Unhelpful for what you're looking for, for the most part.

With yours included there's 17 languages I've counted altogether. Some of them have similar alphabets though.

What is Farsi? I haven't heard of that one.
