I hope no one minds answering this: What languages did you speak or write back in your world/galaxy/universe/etc? If you have the time, could you also write out the alphabet of the languages you know and attach a picture of them in your reply?

I recently found out that a language I know matches up with someone else's, and we aren't even from the same galaxy. It could be interesting to see if any others are the same. I don't know if this information will be useful later on, but I'm going to keep a record of it all just in case.

[ Shaw is good at languages. She mostly picked them up out of necessity, for the job. She might have to do it again, out here. ]

I don't know. First time in space. We haven't imploded yet, which I guess is good. I'd like to know more about where we're headed.

Do you think the captain has a destination in mind?

I asked around at the Shopping Centre and it sounds like they just drift around visiting whatever planets they come across.

But if there's one thing she knows, it's that people don't act out of pure benevolence. There are some exceptions, like Finch. But those are rare. And even he was a sneaky bastard sometimes. ]

[ She has a feeling even private communications aren't totally private, but Shaw's from a place where everyone was watched. She doesn't bother to voice this opinion, though. ]

You mean aside from the amazing jobs they give us?

[ Perhaps you can hear her sarcasm through text? But more to the point: ]

Who knows. Makes more sense that they'd have some aim than floating around the universe for no apparent reason.

Amazing isn't the word I would use to describe them.

It shouldn't be a difficult question to answer, but it is. Do you know if anyone's had any luck trying to talk to the Captain? It seems like the only time we've seen him is in that orientation video they showed us at the beginning.

[ And just because he's the public face of this ship, it doesn't mean he actually exists. Shaw intends to find out, one way or the other. ]

The bridge is off limits, at least for now. I assume if there is a captain, he's there.

[ Which only means she has to try harder to break in. This might be a tech issue. Root might have some ideas. ]

I've tried contacting him directly, too. He hasn't replied to any of the messages I left him.
