I hope no one minds answering this: What languages did you speak or write back in your world/galaxy/universe/etc? If you have the time, could you also write out the alphabet of the languages you know and attach a picture of them in your reply?

I recently found out that a language I know matches up with someone else's, and we aren't even from the same galaxy. It could be interesting to see if any others are the same. I don't know if this information will be useful later on, but I'm going to keep a record of it all just in case.

I'll send a copy of the file to anyone who wants it later. Thanks.

I was taught many different languages.. Latin, French... anything I would have to read philosophy in, really.

Either way, this place probably already has that database - there has to be some kind of algorithm to bringing us all here, after all. It wouldn't make sense if there wasn't.

I don't believe one second's worth of that 'anomaly' talk. Though, maybe I am overly paranoid, I will admit. This place reminds me a lot of my former home, and the reminder of that is not entirely a pleasant one.

Still - I would be wary of believing too much. There is no reason to implicitly trust this ship or these people.

Oh, you have that handy encryption too? Good - I'm glad more people than a few had the sense to use it.

Do you want the long version or the short? It's a little.. convoluted at times. At times unbelievable.

Yes, it's foolishly public but there is most likely a reason for that. Without privacy on these channels then there's no room for long distance 'comparing of cards' so to speak.

My home city was called Romdeau - it was a domed city where we all as fellow citizens lived with every creature comfort you can think of. It's as utopic as it sounds before you have a taste of the real world. I, through an encounter with what i then termed a 'monster' in my home, got embroiled in what would eventually be the downfall of the dome in literal fashion - the dome collapsed and took almost every fellow citizen of Romdeau with it - just not me or those I travel with. There are many details in between but without context it's all filler information.

In the most basic terms: it was unsettlingly like Eluvio. Other than here, so far as I can tell just yet, people aren't assigned raison d'ĂȘtres. But there is everything else. Provided homes, comforts, comraderie and everything else in just enough terms to be mind numbing and take away suspicion. The perfect, boring, utopia where you don't want for much, and are kept too busy with other things to think critically. Or, as in my case, you're fed enough information to keep you satisfied until your doctor feeds you divisive philosophical literature and suddenly you're under your grandfather's thumb because you're 'oo curious' and 'ask too many questions.'

Though, he consented to me being made that way, so I suppose his chose his own poison.

It wasn't entirely a loss for that place to crash in to the lake under it. I suppose that's cold of me, as I do sometimes miss it, but.. learning the truths of that place make it a little hard to redeem, even to me.

You aren't wrong, there. I would expect someone I took on to at least pull some weight, but... I don't know why. It just doesn't seem as wholesome as it sounds, to me. Trusting total 'strangers' with things like missions is questionable. I also wonder what happened to the people before us that must have filled these ships prior to our arrival.

Surely you wouldn't build space liners like this without the people to fill them, or on the off chance of an 'anomaly'

A series of things. Before I was even born, I think, my dome stole the proxy of another dome, named Mosk. Proxies gave life to the domes in a very literal way - they were something like Gods left behind to sustain us in the wasteland until humans came back to Earth. Ours had run away, for his own reasons I suppose, and so they thought to bring him back by bringing the object of his affections, Monad, Mosk's proxy, back to our own dome. As a result, Mosk, of course, died. If what I've gathered is also correct... Monad at some point died, and so my doctor took it upon himself to create clones of her, each of them imperfect - even me - as an attempt to lure him back.

It worked in a round about way, I suppose, he came back, though without his memories and therefore completely ignorant of what he was supposed to do or be. And, right before the end, Daedalus got his perfect clone and named her Real.

Real / Re-L.. get it?

There were also immigrant programs that forced citizens of Mosk fleeing to Romdeau to divest themselves of every tie to Mosk, therefore not only wiping it off the map but out of memory and history, too. If an immigrant did not conform, or a fellow citizen left the dome and attempted to come back, or the security structure caught you doing something you shouldn't? Typically the offenders were summarily executed.

I suppose I got a stay of sentence in that I wasn't shot but instead an assassination was attempted.

It would've looked bad if the Regent's Granddaughter died any other way, right? I went outside to retrieve Vincent Law and came back too open-eyed for their liking - I knew too much and I knew that people lived outside, it was not a lawless utter wasteland as I had always been told.

It was essentially a dome full of ego and lies - not very surprising.

It is what it is. I haven't really had time to dwell on any of it since it fell and all - surviving outside is much different than surviving in the dome.

Eventually, yes. But it won't hurt to get a little leg work of our own in if we can rather than waiting for it to come out and in to the open.

Let's just say I have some experience with dodging security structures. I'll see what I can get myself in to (safely) when I get back from this planet drop mission.

No worries there, I'll try my best. There are people to go back to in my world, after all.

The planet drop. I've been assigned to the Beta team, so we will be invading the base.

no biggie :)

Suspiciously so. Though it's always a chance that the captain thinks he is above meeting those who have appeared on his ship.

We'll have to work on that. Promptly.

Not sure on that front. I haven't been given any instructions not to talk about it as of yet.
