First, I want to know how many people are familiar with ninja and the shinobi world.

Second, I’m interested in increasing my knowledge when it comes to the technology on the ship.

Third, in connection with the second point, is there a way to stop others from being able to send messages to your communicator? Stopping all of them temporarily would also be acceptable.

There should be a 'block user' function on your communicator. But how well it might work isn't my department. Some people on the ship are capable of hacking into things, and send you messages anyway.

And I am familiar with Ninja. Just not this 'shinobi world'.

In my world, a ninja or shinobi was a covert agent or mercenary in feudal Japan. They were involved in espionage, sabotage, infiltration, assassination and guerrilla warfare, and people often associate them with supernatural abilities such as flight, invisibility, and magical feats - though these are just romantic ideas. Not actually true.

Ninja are creatures that fight, and their world is one of turmoil and bloodshed. The village is their home, the battlefield their playground, and their existence one of suffering. They fight and kill for reasons long forgotten, old rivalries and animosities bought by those whose pockets run deep in order to protect a way of life that has no place in a civilized world.

And that is what manuals are for.

How vivid. I can't imagine that someone who didn't have firsthand experience with that kind of world would bother imagining it to that level of detail.

I am afraid that I am not familiar with what a ninja is, nor have I ever heard of a shinobi world...

But I may be of help with certain questions of technology, if you are still in need of that.

There's always a need for more knowledge. It seems most people here are accustomed to living solely on planets, which is the same for me.

Outside of my world's moon, I wasn't aware of anything more. [ Another dearth of knowledge altogether, honestly. ]

Also, not really sure how to do that last part on these devices. They're similar but not quite the same as phones in my world. Has someone else been able to help you with that?

It's broad because the pool of knowledge is broad. Already this communicator is unlike anything I've seen. And help's been sporadic but it seems resolved.
