A number of things.

First, I want to know how many people are familiar with ninja and the shinobi world.

Second, I’m interested in increasing my knowledge when it comes to the technology on the ship.

Third, in connection with the second point, is there a way to stop others from being able to send messages to your communicator? Stopping all of them temporarily would also be acceptable.

"Normal" is relative.

Humans from my world don't have any powers or special abilities. Many animals are quite stronger or faster than humans, the skin is soft, no ability to control wind or fire or able to do any sort of feat that involves invisibility and flight... That's what a "normal" human would be, where I'm from.

That kind of person exists in my world too. If that's your benchmark, however, then I'm very familiar with "superpowers".

Why do you say that? A lot of people would love to have powers. That's why we have so many novels about that and about normal humans suddenly gaining them.

To have a power greater than that of those around you is isolating and leads to arrogance.

Should everyone have greater power, it then just leads to greater conflict. Human nature won't change.

That exists even without powers, though.

Humans fight a lot among themselves, for all sort of reasons. Conflict always existed in a way or another. It's hard to find an understanding.

Agreed. To give them a greater weapon is to ask for greater responsibility. It's a gamble on whether or not they'll destroy themselves first.

Being great and feared isn't all it's made out to be.

I'm a college student. I'm studying Japanese Literature, maybe to become an editor. [ little he knows that will never happen ]

It's an educational institution that gives its students a higher education than what is required by law.

I finished my education years ago and none of it was required by any kind of law. Your system is completely different to mine.
