TEXT. — id: gale
has anyone ever been to a different world or universe or whatever before ending up here, or just me?
are there any tornadoes in space? that's probably a silly question
but seriously, is there weather in space? they gave me a job as a weather girl
more importantly: has anyone seen a guy called lucas or roan and a little girl called sylvie around?
oh, and i'm a nurse, so if anyone needs help with injuries, well. there's probably some kind of medical service on board anyway, but if there isn't, feel free to come to me and i'll do what i can.

None of those names are familiar to me, I apologise. As for being a nurse, that's wonderful news! We have at least, hm, Dr. McCoy, who is amoung our number of more recent arrivals. You might enjoy speaking with him, or seeing if there's anyone you may be willing to help train in basic first aid. What should we be calling you?
no subject
i'm dorothy. i'll keep my eyes open for dr mccoy.
if you know anyone who wants to learn, i can probably do that
no subject
It's nice to meet you, Dorothy! I'm Victor. I know that I would like to brush up on skills past those I'm used to... Yuuri Katsuki is another, and he's been working with Dr. McCoy. I'm certain there are more of us, though if you'd prefer I ask, well, I can do that, too.

sounds like you do. what happened to you?
no subject
i ended up in a place where magic is very real and technology isn't
no subject
i woke up in the body of the other me. i don't remember being him, and i wasn't there long enough to look around
but it was a place without magic. that's what was different
my world has both. magic and technology
i'm guessing it was a king of culture shock for you.

[ And yet you kept yours, Cassian... ]
Different planets, yes, but I get the impression that is not what you meant by 'worlds'.
no subject
as far as i know
maybe where i ended up was a different planet and i just had no idea
one moment i was in kansas, the next in a very different place not anywhere on earth
no subject
I'm not from Earth. But this is definitely my first time being somewhere one moment, and somewhere else entirely different in the next.

So far as I know the only 'weather' in space are solar storms and the odd radiation storm.
But I'm sure the Eluvio will find good enough use of someone who can read weather patterns and the like. Just be careful that they don't use it a little too much to their advantage.
no subject
[ but also, and locked because dorothy has found the option for that on her phone: ] what makes you say that they'd use it too much to their advantage?
no subject
Well, you learn quickly enough to have already found the lock function.
I just got back from a mission on planet.. let's just say if I was suspicious before naturally, it's worse now. Just keep your eyes and ears open and you should be fine. There are no imminent threats just yet, but. I have a suspicion that this place isn't exact as it's sold.

I'm sure there are many ways you can assist. There are plenty here who are not qualified for this sort of thing.. but they are here.
[ he's talking about himself but Dorothy doesn't need to know that. ]

anyway i don't think there's weather in space, but with a username like "gale", maybe they figured you'd make something up.
you know anything about veterinary health?
no subject
i don't think that counts

they might not be here, but if you see them, please let me know [ lucas can take care of himself and of sylvie, too, but the thought of sylvie alone somewhere makes dorothy's stomach clench unpleasantly. ] and if the girl looks scared, don't get close to her

[He offers a warm smile.] I can almost guarantee my job is far sillier and far more pointless.
no subject
Really? I'd never heard of anyone doing that before it happened to me. And now it's happened again. Pretty sure that's not normal, at least where I'm from.
[ but apparently here, it is. ] Do you know how to get back to other - realms? [ odd choice of words, but okay. ]
Why, what is it?
