has anyone ever been to a different world or universe or whatever before ending up here, or just me?
are there any tornadoes in space? that's probably a silly question
but seriously, is there weather in space? they gave me a job as a weather girl

more importantly: has anyone seen a guy called lucas or roan and a little girl called sylvie around?

oh, and i'm a nurse, so if anyone needs help with injuries, well. there's probably some kind of medical service on board anyway, but if there isn't, feel free to come to me and i'll do what i can.

I think there are solar and/or radiation storms, but studying weather patterns on planets might be important too. I don't know so much about it. I've been trying to learn since I arrived around two months ago.

None of those names are familiar to me, I apologise. As for being a nurse, that's wonderful news! We have at least, hm, Dr. McCoy, who is amoung our number of more recent arrivals. You might enjoy speaking with him, or seeing if there's anyone you may be willing to help train in basic first aid. What should we be calling you?
genice: (smile | i noticed you watching?)

Then it's likely as much a job thrown your way because it was considered foolproof as anything else. That's the most consistent pattern, for most of us.

It's nice to meet you, Dorothy! I'm Victor. I know that I would like to brush up on skills past those I'm used to... Yuuri Katsuki is another, and he's been working with Dr. McCoy. I'm certain there are more of us, though if you'd prefer I ask, well, I can do that, too.

Could be. Some jokes are more close to home than others. I figure skate, if you're familiar with the sport? So one could say shaved ice is an interesting reference.

Having said that, you can imagine where most of my experience lies. Blisters, sores, friction burns and injuries, bruises, the ability to spot a potential break, identifying good and bad signs of a concussion, scattered things of that kind. Being able to make sure someone's stable or not moved until the medical professionals are actually able to arrive.

As far as what can happen here, I'd hazard a guess of anything and everything you expect back home. Between the reality of our off-ship missions and the day-to-day life on ship, the possibilities are about the same. For more specific space-related ones, I'd refer to Dr. McCoy. He's quite experienced with these things, from my understanding.

Offhand, have you worked with people that have chronic heart conditions much in the past?
genice: (laugh | throw your hands up)

Really? In what way?

Yes, I am! After all, we do have a med bay on the Eluvio. I'm just finding a certain comfort in trusting in the skills of the newest arrivals, even when we're displaced from familiar surroundings.

( it's always nicer when one's dog comes along; in text, Makkachin doesn't show up, but in reality, Victor is not often without his dog when on board the ship. when he isn't, usually Yuuri is. )

Oh, it's one of the issues I've seen come up on board. Certain individuals with such conditions may have a habit of getting themselves in trouble.

It seems like it's likely to involve having been taken to another universe before; I'm not sure how much more insane you feel it will be, but I respect that. I'm happy to hear it, if you end up changing your mind.

( magic and space travel and universe crossing and world destruction and death stars leave him feeling more Broad Minded on a number of things. )

From what I understand, yes. Though I'm not sure if there's anything that could be improved upon, medication wise, given the differences between their time period and the one this ship belongs to, by all appearances.

The jobs often make no sense.

[ And yet you kept yours, Cassian... ]

Different planets, yes, but I get the impression that is not what you meant by 'worlds'.
realimperfect: (see your daydreams in me they'll not lac)

So far as I know the only 'weather' in space are solar storms and the odd radiation storm.

But I'm sure the Eluvio will find good enough use of someone who can read weather patterns and the like. Just be careful that they don't use it a little too much to their advantage.

I believe if you have medical experience, it is best to assist as much as possible.
[ they're gonna need it, it looks like.. ]

[ oh... how good.. that was, honestly, the point he was trying to make when he first talked on the network. What a good person..! ]
I'm sure there are many ways you can assist. There are plenty here who are not qualified for this sort of thing.. but they are here.
[ he's talking about himself but Dorothy doesn't need to know that. ]

Heh. I know plenty about breaking hearts, but not how to mend them.
It could be a useful skill to know.

[ fuck.. he was doing so good not to do this..
he was having a good, normal conversation, why the fuck—

yeah he's asking that he wants to learn btw.. ]

When i was younger, ah, a teenager.. one of my brothers.. he was very rambunctious! He stil is, actually. He got his head stuck in the fence, and i rescued him once i heard his cry for help! With the scrapes that were on his body, i kissed my fingers to my lips, pressed them against his wound, and put a band aid on them. I reassured him it would be alright, he is strong, the pain won't last long.

Yes, i was a hero.

It isn't just the action that it takes to heal others.
But delicate attention, care, and love.

[ sweats profusely...
ok, she caught him. ]

I suppose.. that is correct.
If you must put it that way.
