has anyone ever been to a different world or universe or whatever before ending up here, or just me?
are there any tornadoes in space? that's probably a silly question
but seriously, is there weather in space? they gave me a job as a weather girl

more importantly: has anyone seen a guy called lucas or roan and a little girl called sylvie around?

oh, and i'm a nurse, so if anyone needs help with injuries, well. there's probably some kind of medical service on board anyway, but if there isn't, feel free to come to me and i'll do what i can.

Really? I'd never heard of anyone doing that before it happened to me. And now it's happened again. Pretty sure that's not normal, at least where I'm from.

[ but apparently here, it is. ] Do you know how to get back to other - realms? [ odd choice of words, but okay. ]

It is normal where I come from, but often it is unheard of in the realms we travel to. [He strains a little at the question, mostly because he's never quite sure what the best way to explain it is.

Not everyone understands things like Jane does, after all.]

Realms are connected like the branches of a tree, with my realm at the very top. There's a bridge that connects all the realms and allows us to travel freely between them, with the discretion of the gatekeeper, of course. I'm sure that's not how it works here, however.

Right. [ dorothy isn't sure how much of that she really understands, but it makes about as much sense to her as travelling via tornado to another world where magic is real, and that happened, so who is she to say he's talking nonsense? ]

Pity that that's not how it works here. I wasn't really looking for a holiday in space.

It's complicated, without a proper diagram at least. [He's happy to leave that nonsense at that.]

Indeed so. I've far better things to be doing than wasting time having my hair braided or awaiting further instruction.

[But that gets her a smirk.] I'm sure you'd be better suited for it than I.

[ no, but what she really wants is to just go back to working as a nurse. she's good at that. ]

Perhaps. [He cocks his head to the side.] I know precious little about predicting weather, but I can summon it.

[But he's totally not boasting here.]

seriously? [ he's like the witch of the east!! ] Can you do tornadoes?

Thunder and lightning is my preference, but I am capable of it. I'd show you but it's difficult here, you understand.

What is your interest in tornadoes?

[fujita]

I know this sounds crazy, but — a tornado brought me to Oz, and I'm hoping one can take me home again.

It does sound crazy, but I believe you. Unfortunately, I don't believe I'm capable of something quite like that.

At least you don't think I'm crazy.

I did just tell you I summon storms and travel between realms, did I not? [He chuckles.] I've known many interesting humans in my time on earth, as well.

Yeah, but you're not the first person I've seen do that.

Then it shouldn't surprise you that I don't find you crazy.

Yeah, maybe not. Thanks for not making me feel like I'm losing my mind, though.
