[Abruptly, there's the sound of blades cutting through ice coming from the communicators as the figure skater on screen does a quick lap around what appears to be an ice rink. Then, there's a shift in his center of gravity before he's jumping, landing a triple axel with ease. The air of grace disappears as soon as the figure skater catches sight of the camera pointed at him.]

Viktor! [Some might recognize Yuuri's voice before he glides closer, a look of dismay on his face.] You said you weren't recording yet!

Ah, but Yuuri! You were skating so wonderfully, I couldn't resist! [Viktor doesn't sound apologetic, but as the image shifts, he comes on screen, smiling at the camera and holding up his free hand to wave.] Hello, friends of the Eluvio! Yuuri and I wanted to extend you a formal invitation to Eluvio's skating rink, the Ice Palace.

[Yuuri, apparently having resigned himself to delivering the message this way, just sighs with exasperation as he reaches Viktor at the side of the rink.] Um, we're going to be hosting a short exhibition show on Valentine's Day, too. Viktor thought it'd be a good idea, since a lot of people onboard haven't seen figure skating before. And there's going to be food...? [He trails off, looking at Viktor for confirmation.]

[Viktor nods to confirm, flashing another smile.] Horderves and shaved ice. No chocolates! You'll have to make or bring your own. [This last part said with a wink as he brings his finger up to rest against his lips.]

[Viktor's comment makes Yuuri pause.] Actually, about the chocolates, has anyone managed to find a store that sells chocolate molds? I've been looking all over the Shopping Centre for them. [Then, he remembers why they're making the video in the first place, and he blushes as he steers himself back on track.] A-anyway, please come join us for the exhibition! You're welcome to come earlier and see the rink for yourself before then, too.

[With that, he'll give a shallow, polite sort of bow before reaching over to turn the camera off.]

I...see. I don't think I've heard of Hope's Peak, but it's impressive that you were accepted to a place like that.

What kind of team did you manage?

Every kind!

[yokunaru]

[His mouth drops open when he realizes he's not joking.]

Wait...really? How did you have time to do all that?

[nodyinteam]

Well, it's not like it's happened all at the same time. And a good team manager knows how to manage his time properly! But I've worked with everyone... baseball players, soccer teams, even figure skaters!

[yokunaru]

[Yuuri pauses at the last one, pleasantly surprised.]

Really, figure skaters, too? You didn't mention that last time.

[nodyinteam]

No, but I've been meaning to! I've had my a hand in virtually every sport at this point. And the figure skater I worked with was very talented... He even managed to perform six and a half spins!

[yokunaru]

Wow. [He isn't sure what else to say, if only because 6 and a half is unheard of in his world, but he has no idea how this would work in another world altogether.

But more importantly, this is giving him an idea.]

Wait, so you're used to working with figure skaters... have you worked with beginners before?

[nodyinteam]

Not exactly... I've mostly worked with people who already know the basics and show signs of talent.

BUT I'M FULLY PREPARED TO WORK WITH ANYONE, AT ANY LEVEL OF PROFICIENCY!

[yokunaru]

Do you think you'd like teaching beginners?

[He isn't sure how he and Viktor would handle it, but he doesn't want to force Nekomaru into the job if he won't like it either.]

[nodyinteam]

What kind of a man do you think I am?! If there's anyone who wants to be molded in any athletic area at all... There's nothing I'd love more than to help shape them!! I'd rather trade away my pride than ignore a newcomer in need!

OR MY NAME ISN'T NEKOMARU NIDAIIII!!

[yokunaru]

[There's a moment of stunned silence, before Yuuri just ends up grinning at him. Probably should have expected that, he thinks.]

How would you feel about teaching beginners at the ice rink, then?

[nodyinteam]

[For a moment he looks ready to erupt with energy-

But then he just states, plainly and quickly]

I'd like that.

[yokunaru]

[The abrupt switch from energetic to fairly calm leaves Yuuri a little disconcerted. And here, he'd just braced himself for another outburst.]

Really? That's great! I've never taught beginners before, and Viktor's way of coaching might not... work with beginners.

[nodyinteam]

Ahahaha! So you need old Nekomaru, do you?

[And then the energy abruptly returns.]

FINE! I'LL HELP! JUST TELL ME WHEN I STAARRRRRTTTT!!!

[yokunaru]

[And there it is. Talking with Nekomaru is like being on a rollercoaster sometimes.

Yuuri smiles at him gratefully all the same.]

Thanks, Nidai-san. Viktor and I really appreciate it. [a pause.] Why don't you start after the exhibition? We might have some people interested after we should them what figure skating looks like.

[nodyinteam]

[He cracks his knuckles and gives a warm chuckle.]

Of course!! I'll let you two lovebirds strut your stuff first. That'll draw in the crowds! And then I, NEKOMARU NIDAI, will be ready to take them under my wing and close to my bosom!!

[yokunaru]

L-lovebirds... [Yuuri stutters, though he doesn't bother protesting at this point.]

I'm sure any students you have will do well with your instruction. I know you'll do your best to help them improve.

[nodyinteam]

Ahahaha! You're getting all shy about it, aren't you?? Adorable!

You know it!! Those newcomers will know their stuff in no time at all!

[yokunaru]

Hrngh. [Yuuri covers his face, essentially proving Nekomaru's point.]

Um, anyway, you can come in to the rink whenever if you want to ask us anything about the job. We'll see you soon?

[nodyinteam]

[Nekomaru guffaws some more in response.]

You totally are getting flustered! I knew it! Gahahaha!

Alright... I'LL SEE YOU THERE!!

[yokunaru]

[PLEASE STOP CALLING HIM OUT ON THIS, NEKOMARU. For his sake...]

O-oh, look, it's about time we got back to training! See you later, Nidai-san!

[To absolutely no one's surprise, Yuuri quickly hangs up after that.]
