[ Cullen isn't one for small talk and he doesn't take pleasure in hearing himself speak for the fun of it. His written missives are usually short and to the point; though this format is vastly different from what's available in Thedas, he allows habit to guide him.

There's the faintest of frowns on his face when he begins. This is his first time attempting to use the bizarre device and though he's been instructed on its use, he's not entirely convinced. ]

Are there any here who might be willing to check in on my hound for a short time?

[ It's so awkward talking to no one and having no idea who might hear him. ]

I've volunteered to serve on one of the teams being sent to the world below us and it would set my mind at ease to know he is not alone while I'm gone.

[ He's not 100% sure the terminology is correct—how this ship is sailing above a world is baffling—but he's trying. ]

[ He considers it for a moment, then nods. ]

Oh, and I'm Yuuri. [He changes to video so Cullen can see his face.] This is what I look like, just in case you're not sure who to look for.

[ Although they've already met, so to speak, Cullen smiles in greeting anyway. Seeing someone for the first time is different than simply speaking to them. ]

A pleasure to meet you, Yuuri. I'm Cullen. And I shall be there.

[ And he will be there, with Pup, when Yuuri arrives. Cullen isn't stupid and has studied the device somewhat, though he's still woefully new to technology. Teaching him simple things will be significantly easier than, say, teaching someone's elderly relative. And Pup will take to Yuuri quite easily. ]

[It's easy to spot Cullen when he has Pup with him, the two of them standing out even from a distance. Yuuri jogs up to them, lifting his hand in greeting.]

Cullen! And Pup. [Going off his own experiences with dogs, Yuuri holds his hand out for Pup to sniff before he tries to touch him.] Did you get your books already?
