[visionarie]

[ The recording captures the burgundy-skinned synthezoid touching his dog tags before android-like eyes rise up to meet the camera. He's hesitant at first, pressing his lips together as if unsure how to start until: ]

I am sorry for the disturbance. [ His fingers run over the cool metal ] These identification markers [ call them dog-tags! ]. Since I've been given one,  does this mean I'm allowed to move through the ship without prior approval?

[ There's a hint of hope that flickers through his eyes at that question. He's not entirely certain but from what he's gathered, it seems to be the case. Still, he prefers a direct answer rather than to assume. ]

That would explain it. So, how big an adjustment is being here?

[visionarie]

[ He contemplates that question for a long moment, his mind diving into his memory banks where he'd begun to categorize all the new information he'd been bombarded with since his arrival. ]

It's.... [ his eyes shift up to look at the long expanse of space ] an adjustment, but not a bad one.

[avicula]

You don't mind being here?

[visionarie]

[ His answer comes easy. ]

No.

[ A look. ] Should I?

[avicula]

You don't have better places to be, be my guest.

[ dutch minds. she minds a lot, especially since it isn't her choice, since this is just another incident of someone or something jerking her around, pulling her strings. ]

[visionarie]

[ A quiet look. ]

You don't want to be here.

[ That much he can gather. ]

[avicula]

No shit.

[ but whatever anger dutch feels isn't directed at him. ]

[visionarie]

You're homesick.

[avicula]

No. [ if anything is home these days, it's johnny jaqobis. it's johnny, d'avin and the team, it's alvis and pree. and johnny is actually here. ]

But I'm pissed about not getting the choice whether to be here or not. Whether to stay or to leave.

[visionarie]

We all have choices. Some have more than others... I suppose it all stems from our perspective, the circumstances we believe ourselves in.

[avicula]

I believe myself to be on a spaceship that isn't mine, in a part of the galaxy I wasn't in before and that I don't want to be in.
