[visionarie]

[ The recording captures the burgundy-skinned synthezoid touching his dog tags before android-like eyes rise up to meet the camera. He's hesitant at first, pressing his lips together as if unsure how to start until: ]

I am sorry for the disturbance. [ His fingers run over the cool metal ] These identification markers [ call them dog-tags! ]. Since I've been given one,  does this mean I'm allowed to move through the ship without prior approval?

[ There's a hint of hope that flickers through his eyes at that question. He's not entirely certain but from what he's gathered, it seems to be the case. Still, he prefers a direct answer rather than to assume. ]

And where they don'?

[ It's not like he'll go phasing in to see but he'd like to know the whole situation. ]

Where they don't, we're not allowed. But, I couldn't tell you if they have restricted areas protected. I haven't been here very long.

[He still isn't sure he can trust this place. If it's like the islands...rule breaking could be punished harshly.]

[visionarie]

If I may, [ he looks at him ] how long have you been here?

[ He recently arrived and still trying to get his bearings himself. ]

A few days. ...um, what should I call you, sir? [He tucks the evelope back away into his back pocket.] All I remember them saying about the dog tags is they were really important.

If we lose them we have to report and get them replaced.

[ He blinks at the 'Sir', the comment slowly tugging a small smile to his lips. ]

I am called Vision.

[ That answer has him visibly relaxing. He'd been afraid he wouldn't be able to replace them if he lost them. Considering his habit of phasing through doors... he's had to stop himself several times in case he accidentally leaves them behind. ]

Thank you. [ A quiet bend of his head. ] I was afraid they were irreplaceable.

...Thankfully, they're not. [He smiles a little awkwardly back. It's been a while since he talked to people other than his classmates.]

I was worried about that too but they left a transcript of everything they told us in that envelope they handed each of us.

[visionarie]

[ He nods. ]

Yes, I uploaded it to my memory banks. I will read through it once more.

[ His eyes go blank, as if unseeing for two seconds, before he blinks and looks at him. ]

Odd. They don't seem to list the material of the tags.

[He blinks. That action had been very... different. He puts it out of his head.] You noticed that too?

We're just to request a new one if we lose ours. They also don't seem to have made much headway about the space anomalies. Or they aren't saying what they found out.
