Hello, out there! For those of you that aren't aware, my name is Dorian Pavus. For those of you that are— [ he smiles, oh so charmingly ] I'm positive it's lovely to see me again.

Introductions aside, I do have a motive for coming here today. I know some of us had a rather... [ and he's putting this so lightly ] unfortunate trip down to Oros and are still feeling the effects of it. Or, perhaps even unrelated ailments may be weighing you down. Whatever the case may be, I am here to offer my services.

[ Ahem. ]

Of a sort.

[ Leaning out of the frame for a moment, he comes back with a small try of a few potted plants and differently colored vials. ]

I've been doing a bit of additional research with the plants and such from Oros and those here aboard the ship. Some results have been... interesting. [ He taps the cork of a vial containing hot pink liquid in it. ] This one in particular was quite something.

[ Not that he's going to share what happened but suffice to say it was something new and interesting for him. ]

At any rate, my fellow travellers, I have a request among my offer. First, there are tonics available to those who need them for minor aches and pains, sleeping issues and so on. I'm a healer by no means but do know enough of it [ his hand lifts and a tendril of blue green mist curls around his finger before disappearing into sparks ] to get by.

Secondly! And perhaps a little more importantly, these. [ A gesture to the things in front of him again. ] Some are untested and I'm not positive what they'll do, so, I wanted to cast my net a little wider and see if there were any fellow researchers or those of that ilk to try some of these tonics and plants to... [ he trails off then just shrugs with another easy smile ] Well, just see what they do. If you've any interest at all, do be in touch!

That's certainly the question, isn't it? Some of these I admit I don't know what they do, which is why I asked for others to help me test them out. My only stipulation is I need some time of yours to know what side effects they may cause.

[ He spreads his hands over the assortment in front of him. ]

I'm offering all of these, whatever you choose to try is yours. I just need the details afterward or to observe you while you imbibe one, or more, of them.

I would just like to know what holds potential and what does not. When you've the time, please come to the research department so I may give you a set of samples.

[ There is wisdom in it, but... it's still not something easy for Dorian. Especially now that he's back home in Tevinter. ]

[ Even if he's been there before. Because sometimes fucking is complicated. ]

[ Vaas' brows knit together in perplexity. ]

[ And just by the way he says it, the warmth in his tone, means that in spite of all the bad things about it, it's still his home. ]

While it isn't a particular oddity, affairs of this sort aren't discussed openly. Or sometimes at all.

[ Vaas has never heard of Tevinter. The confused frown on his face ought to say that much. ]

[ Dorian can't help but laugh at that a little, because. Well. ]

In a sense, I suppose. Proper breeding is essential where I come from, so much of the nobility are betrothed before a proper birth. Seeing as it is still rather impossible for two men to produce a valid offspring...

[ He waves his hand to indicate the rest. Vaas can figure it out. ]

[ Oh, Vaas knows all about this shit. He nods in sympathy. ]

Dorian makes a face at that—the whole sister thing and not the killing thing. Death and killing is something he's definitely used to at this stage in his life. ]

[ The look that settles on his face is one of... almost questioning. Is this man really asking why things aren't that simple? ]

[ O.... kay. This took a rather unexpected turn. Dorian looks mildly surprised at the outburst and then just sighs. ]

Well, yes, I imagine you can do such a thing, but, really. What is the point? If I'm killing someone, it had better be worth it for more than just a disagreement in thought. That's so... wasteful.
