Others have been mentioning dates of birth and so I was wondering: what do your people do in order to celebrate the day someone is born, or named, or comes into their own?

Also, how do your people celebrate the lives that have ended?

I was curious about personal or cultural rituals and celebrations involved in honoring those who have died. Not death itself.

On Altea we would have memorial services for those fallen in battle, and for royalty. Otherwise, it would be a private affair among family and friends.

I wonder if there will be a memorial service for Oros.

I wonder as well but-- I am not sure. I would likely have to ask the Trilk what they would desire, same with the Fek.

Realizing your entire planet and people have been destroyed is a trying time. And considering the Eluvio's role in that destruction, a memorial service may seem like an insult. But we cannot ignore their strife, either.

I hope that there is...something, to honor and recognize what has happened.

And I hope that we get more answers on just what the hell is going on.

You and me both. No relic is ever worth more than the livelihood of an entire planet.

The ship's crew did not even allow me to bring my own vessel planetside in an attempt to save more lives. We could have saved hundreds more.

They were. All because they desired ORDER in these rescue missions, and were too concerned about potential chaos, not the ability to save as many lives as possible.

To be honest that sounds less like a desire for order and more like a desire for control.

Do we know what happened to the Relic?

Exactly my thoughts on the matter. They physically prevented my ship from landing on Oros which is making me question our captors even more.

I have not yet asked what happened to the Relic, but something tells me even if I did, no one would tell me.

Even though there are other people on this ship who have claimed to arrive the same way that we did, none of them volunteered. Neither did any of the officers aboard this ship.

Asking might be counterproductive, now.

I have noticed that as well. It is...highly suspicious.

I am aware that we must make the most of our situation but-- I am hesitant to be compliant in whatever the future may bring; it COULD very well have been an accident, and I do understand the importance of secrecy when needed, but regardless, the destruction of Oros and their unwillingness to accept my help has not put them in my good graces.

At this point there are too many factors interacting with one another to feel like pure coincidence or accident.

My friend is missing. Victor has told me that others have gone missing as well.

None of this is good, honestly, and I dislike being a piece on a chessboard when I don't know the players.

People are missing?? When did this happen? I will need to ask Victor of this as well.

I...will admit I do not know what a chessboard is. But I believe I understand what you mean and I do not like this as well.

Victor said that others have gone missing since around the time of the celebration he put together for the New Year according to the Earth calendar. Bodhi disappeared the same day Oros was attacked after the Relic was recovered.

[ Cassian probably shouldn't either but I've no idea what the SW equivalent is and it's apt. /headinhands ]

Simply put, I'm familiar with war and I am familiar with intelligence. This definitely feels like the former, with a disastrous lack of the latter.
