Others have been mentioning dates of birth and so I was wondering: what do your people do in order to celebrate the day someone is born, or named, or comes into their own?

Also, how do your people celebrate the lives that have ended?

Yes. I can't imagine what it would be like if they had no one they felt comfortable with at all. Truthfully, even we are probably not enough. Until recently, we couldn't communicate with them at all. Only able to guess, I'm certain they were suspicious of us. I wonder if they blame us for what's happened.

They very well may. Have you spoken with them since they've arrived?

Yes, but I don't have the heart to bring up such serious topics. They don't seem to want to discuss their relationship with the other alien race, so I haven't pushed. Rather, I think it's important to make them comfortable by refusing to walk on eggshells and instead helping them to settle down.
