hey all, quick question here. trying to work something out.

did any of you meet up with people from home here? did you show up together to go to orientation and all that?

if so, did you get yanked from the same moment in time?

We compared notes when I arrived about a week ago and it seems like we were taken from the same point in time. Was it not like that for you or someone else you know?

whoa. so you skated and now you're in space? that must be kinda shocking.

not really sure, I guess. we remember some different stuff and I'm trying to figure out why, that's all.

Shocking is an understatement. It's a lot to adjust to, but I'm trying to read up on space when I can.

What kind of different things?

before I got here I was in space for like 7 months, and it was my first time spending more than a few days in space, so I feel you. it's rough even if you do it by choice. if you need to talk or play a game or whatever to get it out of your system, I've got a few good ones on my ship.

nothing major. seems like I remember a few months more than he does.

You have a ship here, too? Is it anything like the Eluvio?

That's strange. I can't say if the anomaly caused that difference or not, but it could be. I wish we knew more about how those anomalies worked at all.

she's not mine, not really, but I'm the only crew member here. she's a lot smaller than Eluvio, a lot a lot. fast and tough, though. guess you could say I'm fond of her by now.

yeah, I wonder if they have info on that around here. you seen a library or anything?

I wouldn't mind seeing her some time if you really don't mind. I haven't seen many space ships outside of Eluvio.

I haven't seen one yet, but it would be pretty useful if had one to use!

sure. why not?

[It's a Yeerk ship anyway, there's not really any tech on the ship that could get out, they don't have an Escafil device or anything, and this kid seems to pretty genuinely not really get the whole tech thing. So there's probably no harm.]

I'll have to check the computers, see if there's anything like that. when do you wanna pop by the Rachel? I'm used to sharing it with 4 dudes and one beautiful woman, so being by myself sorta sucks.

I can stop by now if you want? I'm sure Viktor wouldn't mind visiting some other time, too, if you want more company.

uh, not sure I'm up to visitors at the moment (I'm kinda dressing up for a gig right now) but maybe tomorrow?

magic! no idea why but they decided I'd make a good magician. for kids.

I don't think there's any reason in their job assignments, it all looks really random to me.

Do you like working with the kids?

I can think of a reason for mine and it's HILARIOUS but I can't figure out if it's in poor taste or not. oh well.

I like it way more than I thought I would.

You're probably better off than most of the people I've talked to so far if you actually don't mind yours.

I used a performing magician as a cover once, back home. I was not good at it and I totally lost my audience. I guess I have more practice making things up in front of a crowd now.

right? I did hate it the first couple days though.
