We’ve all been told about the anomalies; I got the welcome package same as everyone else, I assume. But I’m wondering — is this still the same galaxy? The same universe? Before I came here, I was falling through a wormhole.

[ for a moment, his expression shifts from neutral to something sad, almost pained. it doesn’t last very long. he wishes he knew where the rest of his team was, whether they’re all right. at least allura is here, but pidge, keith, hunk and lance? he can only hope they're okay, and the forced inactivity doesn't sit well with him. ] I come from a planet called Earth, but I recently learned that there are a lot of space-faring races in the galaxy and that most of the galaxy has already been taken over by the Galra.

Does any of this sound familiar?

[ from what he's seen on the network so far, the question will likely be answered in the negative, and so a moment later he adds: ] If it doesn’t, and this is another universe, — any ideas on how to get back?

So what was it like? [ Besides very very cold, which is probably a given. ]

White and icy, mostly.

Aliens who've taken over most of the galaxy already.

That sounds ominous. And then what happened?

[ ominous is one word for it, and there's some tension in shiro's voice now that hadn't been there before, though he still willingly answers her question. ]

My teammates were sent to forced labor camps. I managed to escape after a year of captivity.

Hm.

[ She's been there. Not exactly forced labor. More like psychological torture. But nothing amusing about captivity. ]

Where are the Galra now?

[ Implicit in her tone is: did you kill them dead? ]

[ shiro doesn't remember most of his year in captivity and most of the time, he's glad for that. what he knows is that he was forced to fight for zarkon's amusement. forced to kill or be killed. that they've taken his arm and replaced it with a weapon of galra-making.

he's killed some of them dead. he's still fighting. ]

[ All over. Well, if they've reached Earth -- Shaw's Earth -- there's just no way of knowing. ]

You think they'll show up here?

I'm not sure this is even still the same universe. So no, probably not.

I doubt this universe doesn't have some kind of awfulness, but yes.
