Well, as much as this announcement might seem carefree, he's actually just fishing to see who's all on this ship. He heard there were a few groups of people in front of him at least, so who's he looking at here? He can't properly stay safe if he doesn't know the whole set up.]

however, she has fortunately (or possibly unfortunately) moved past the state of blind panic she was initially in and is now just sort of passively angry at everything and everyone. she hasn't really tried messing with the creepy little talking wrist thing yet but when it starts shouting cheerily at her she presses buttons until she thinks it might be listening. ]
