There's quite a few of us who are new arrivals, yeah? I'm told we should make ourselves comfortable and get to know our neighbors. It's been eight months since I last really moved anywhere, so hello! My name is Victor Nikiforov. If any one of you feels like discussing our new location or occupations or anything else, please join me for a drink!

It's possible. Usually if there's some sort of breech in the hull, it's just pressure changes and can... Well, suck out all the oxygen. That's really, really rare though, so don't worry too much over that.

I guess people say that because they don't know what else to say, you know? From what I gather there's not a lot of people who are used to space travel. It can be scary if you don't know how it works or anything about it. Maybe they're trying to convince themselves more than you. Who knows? This might all turn out okay, it might get frakked up beyond all recognition. No point in being pessimistic about it, because that's not going to change anything. Not to mention it's just going to make you miss obvious clues that might be a ticket out of here.

Anyway. if you're still interested in company after my version of "it'll be okay," I definitely wouldn't mind.

Oddly enough, all that he's reading right now actually leaves him feeling more optimistic. Not because the content, precisely, but because it represents thoughts and answers to problems. Everything can be face and tackled. It takes understanding what he's looking at, but he can learn.

Just like there may be nothing people can really say, and no need for pessimism. He already knows how lonely it is to get locked in to that kind of mentality. Hope, and a keen eye, are far more stirring, and more aligned toward the general optimism he's finding he most prefers to indulge. However improbable the best solutions seem like to him right now. )

It was a good one. Practically optimistic.
