Kinda. The problem is that this explosion also leaves behind residue called fallout that poisons people, the land, water, and stuff. It's kind of awful. Nuclear weapons are considered so destructive that using one is a last resort and might cause another country with nuclear weapons to retaliate. Mutually assured destruction.

These weapons poison what is left behind? And this is known yet people use them anyway?

Yeah. I mean. People have them but they don't use because they don't want to destroy the world but they have to have them to make sure other people don't use them... It's weird.

Maybe. I feel pretty okay living in it. More worried about the Galra than nukes.
