_{[ The feed clicks on and shows not one, but two-almost-Karamatsus. The difference between them is easy to see once you find it: Karamatsu’s confident posture and Ichimatsu’s slouch— Karamatsu’s bold eyebrows and Ichimatsu’s stubby ones. Yes, this is one out of the five other identical brothers that Karamatsu has. Some of you have met them both and maybe have noticed the difference right away, others may still be struggling to tell them apart. Here they are, side by side, though, and it may be hard to make out good details of them in the dim light. Karamatsu clears his throat, looking rather serious for a change. It takes him awhile to speak, running one hand down his face and curving it around his chin, obviously distressed by all of this. Ichimatsu? Not so much. ]}

Ah, good evening, everyone. It’s I, Karamatsu.
It’s been.. awhile since I have spoken with you all, but I come baring some tragic news. Yesterday, me and my brother took a walk through the atrium to find better sources of light. What we found was something else. In the trees, we found the gruesome display of organs thrown over the vegetation in a horrific showcase. A—ah, that’s.. not all that we have found..

_{[ He looks a little pale just talking about this and for a moment he has to pardon himself out of the camera. ]}

...You’re still sick about that? Pansy.

[Ah, there’s another difference. While they both speak in deeper voices than one might expect from their looks, Ichimatsu speaks much less clearly, barely opening his mouth and mumbling as opposed to Karamatsu’s clear enunciation. Nevermind the fact that Ichimatsu looks approximately like he’s not used a hairbrush in a week. He rolls his shoulders and takes over, scrunching his face at his brother off-screen.]

There was a boot in the trail, dunno what happened to the other one. The viscera was all up in the trees, like he said, but it was too dark to really tell what was where and if any of them was still intact. There was also a heart in a gold box-- we surrendered it to find out who it belonged to, so I guess there’s not really anything for a burial.

_{[ Karamatsu returns to the feed, wiping his lips across his sleeve. ]}

The other discovered remains had a bow of black hair around one finger. It might have been meant to point it out too. Did you find out the person's name via message from the medical team?

Yeah, some... guy from medbay, I don't remember his name. The message got deleted almost immediately after it was sent, which comes off kinda fishy to me.

That matches the other case. I was told the same thing last time. They don't seem that interested in finding out what happened. And neither body was intact.

[ichimyatsu]

Well that's creepy beyond reason. [He considers asking about the other body, or maybe the people that found it, but hesitates and decides against it, for now.]

Yeah. It's really creepy. ...and leads us no where. It's odd that we can only get a few details like this. Almost like we were meant to find them. [He doesn't voice the question swirling in his head. What is the purpose of them finding out?]

[ichimyatsu]

Meant to find them, but not get much out of finding them. Which is arguably the creepiest part.

[thisisourfuture]

It's a bit like a scare tactic, don't you think so? [Or a warning.]

[ichimyatsu]

[Or both.] Almost. My idiot brother thought maybe some of the refugees were getting hostile, now I'm starting to wonder if that's not an educated thought.

If that's the case. Why would the medical staff be so dismissive? I'm not discounting the idea but, I wonder if there's more than that going on.

But it also would make sense. They might just not want us to know.

[ichimyatsu]

[He shrugs one shoulder.]

I mean, Karamatsu is definitely an idiot, I just have no frame of reference. I got here like a day before this shit happened. [That's a lie, but.]

I only got here a few weeks ago. Zelos who found the other body told me it's nothing new for the crew to be secretive. [He sighs.]

...Which probably means there's no list of who else is missing.

[ichimyatsu]

Well if this Zelos guy got a name with his body that at least answers who else has been killed. We can make our own list through process of elimination, sort of.

[thisisourfuture]

That's a good idea. His name was Bodhi Rook. That's two for the list. [But the talk of refugees earlier...] I'll keep an eye out for anyone mentioning someone else being missing.

[ichimyatsu]

Bodhi Rook, Rey. Weird names, but I don't know if that means a damn thing toward a correlation.

[He nods.] My brother and I are twins, let one of us know if you hear more. [Easier than specifically claiming himself and having some kind of mix-up happen.]

I will.

I don't think their names are the correlation. ...whatever it is, I can't spot it yet.
