[Zelos doesn’t waste any time once he shows on screen. Very unlike his first post, he’s serious, leaving no room for joking or even a nervous laugh. The only thing he forgot to change is his username. Ignore that.] So, uh, there’s no easy way to do this, but I didn’t want to do it over text… Hear me out for a sec.

I found a body part in a room on my way to the bunks yesterday. There was a ton of blood, and the thing was torn clear off, but I couldn’t find any other parts. [He looks sick just talking about it, frowning somewhere off screen. Purposefully, he leaves Colette out of the story, just in case the blame might be turned on him.] Anyway, I brought it down to medbay and they said they could figure out who it was…

I guess it was some guy named Bodhi Rook. [He looks back to the comm.] But whatever it was that killed him is probably still out there. I was seriously getting the creeps. Any of you guys know what’s going on here? Or know this guy?

...If it helps, a lock of black hair was tied in a bow around his finger. [He doesn’t know if that’s significant, but it sure stood out to him as creepy.] Let me know.

(OOC: This is the first sharing of some event stuff for the groups! Everyone please feel free to have characters ask questions or threadjack or so on. Colette will also be answering replies, and Zelos won't necessarily respond to all of them, so you could get either one as a thread!)

[ bellamy doesn't need to have been there to have witnessed it to know that it wasn't pretty. he's seen some pretty brutal shit while being on the ground, and even on the ark the concept of floating and culling was hardly a walk in the park. briefly he wonders how old she is, if she's as young as octavia and the other kids, before he tries to figure out the best way to approach this. ]

It doesn't sound pretty. [ sometimes stating the obvious is all you can do. ] You're okay?

[It's... difficult, in a way, to not smile and play down her sadness. It's such an automatic gesture, but in this moment, to smile would seem disrespectful. Colette can't bring herself to do it.]

I'll be okay. [Dodging the question, a little.]

I wish I could've done more for him.

[ if bellamy understands anything about this spaceship, it's that sentiment. wanting to do more, not being able to do enough — he understands how she feels, and he can see already she's not following in the footsteps he did when he was in that position. ]

You found him, and you're doing something about it. You're doing enough.

[She feels she'd be a very poor Chosen if her only job was to find dead bodies, but that's such a sore subject, anyway, and it's not as if this stranger is wrong.

I was thinking that... maybe I could perform a funeral rite for him. I did it sometimes back on my world. [Mostly taught as tradition rather than function, but even still...]
