[Zelos doesn’t waste any time once he shows on screen. Very unlike his first post, he’s serious, leaving no room for joking or even a nervous laugh. The only thing he forgot to change is his username. Ignore that.] So, uh, there’s no easy way to do this, but I didn’t want to do it over text… Hear me out for a sec.

I found a body part in a room on my way to the bunks yesterday. There was a ton of blood, and the thing was torn clear off, but I couldn’t find any other parts. [He looks sick just talking about it, frowning somewhere off screen. Purposefully, he leaves Colette out of the story, just in case the blame might be turned on him.] Anyway, I brought it down to medbay and they said they could figure out who it was…

I guess it was some guy named Bodhi Rook. [He looks back to the comm.] But whatever it was that killed him is probably still out there. I was seriously getting the creeps. Any of you guys know what’s going on here? Or know this guy?

...If it helps, a lock of black hair was tied in a bow around his finger. [He doesn’t know if that’s significant, but it sure stood out to him as creepy.] Let me know.

(OOC: This is the first sharing of some event stuff for the groups! Everyone please feel free to have characters ask questions or threadjack or so on. Colette will also be answering replies, and Zelos won't necessarily respond to all of them, so you could get either one as a thread!)

Don't blame you. Concerning enough that people are disappearing from this place as well as being pulled in.

[Even Reaper himself could only do so much to 'get rid' of a corpse after killing someone--so thinking that the rest of Rook was missing was odd enough to make him question it. Again, unless it was tossed out into the vacuum of space, it had to be around here somewhere.

He takes a note of the room, deciding to investigate later on his own. Not that he expects to find much.]

Wonder if someone on the ship had a vendetta against Rook. From what I remember of the kid, he was the spirited type.
Hard to make enemies when you're so... [He gestures with a hand.] Good natured.

Really? Seems to be like good guys like that always get the worst of the problems. [He thinks of Lloyd immediately, frowning at the memory. Always getting into trouble because he was so damn idealistic. It just happened like that.]

Anyway, I guess it doesn't necessarily mean he had any enemies, either. For all we know, they could have just killed the first guy they came across. Maybe he was unlucky.

A good reason to forge your own way and not be one of the spotlighted 'good guys.' [Because that's not the most jaded sentence Zelos will hear from someone over the network.]

Unlucky is a possibility. In a place in space, with dozens of different people from a dozen different worlds...

You never know who's good and who's a little unhinged. Who knows, maybe Rook was even killed by one of the people 'spirited away' here along with the rest of us.

[Yeah, because that doesn't sound like a canned villain line at all... Zelos gives him a look for it, but he doesn't comment further.]

Could be. Man, I really didn't need to worry about this on top of everything else.

Just watch your back, okay? Pretty guys like me have more to worry about, since we always die first, but they could come after you too, I guess.

Kind of you to be concerned. But I've even less to worry about than a prettyboy does.

[It's okay, Zelos is taking this as an opportunity to relax back into sass a little. This feels better than all of these bad feelings showing. Gross.]

That's you assuming that it's a big bad monster. Given how careful it's being? I'd say it's closer to something like me or you. Otherwise it wouldn't be so good at hiding.

And I guarantee this monster has never dealt with Death directly before.
