[Zelos doesn’t waste any time once he shows on screen. Very unlike his first post, he’s serious, leaving no room for joking or even a nervous laugh. The only thing he forgot to change is his username. Ignore that.] So, uh, there’s no easy way to do this, but I didn’t want to do it over text… Hear me out for a sec.

I found a body part in a room on my way to the bunks yesterday. There was a ton of blood, and the thing was torn clear off, but I couldn’t find any other parts. [He looks sick just talking about it, frowning somewhere off screen. Purposefully, he leaves Colette out of the story, just in case the blame might be turned on him.] Anyway, I brought it down to medbay and they said they could figure out who it was…

I guess it was some guy named Bodhi Rook. [He looks back to the comm.] But whatever it was that killed him is probably still out there. I was seriously getting the creeps. Any of you guys know what’s going on here? Or know this guy?

...If it helps, a lock of black hair was tied in a bow around his finger. [He doesn’t know if that’s significant, but it sure stood out to him as creepy.] Let me know.

Yeah, it was super weird. I didn't even get to hear from the guy personally. He sent me a message saying that the arm belonged to this guy, signed his name, and then the message deleted right after I read it.

Now they won't let me go talk to him or anything.

They were pretty professional about it, I guess. I doubt it's the worst they've seen... But I didn't see the guy who actually looked at the thing officially. They just told us they'd run some tests and get back to us.

And then when they did. [It was brief and to the point. He doesn't like what he's hearing or the picture it is painting.] Thank you for telling everyone about this. I haven't been sure what to think.

That orientation felt off. Now this. [There's a pause as he considers it all.] That bow. That's really bothering me.

...whatever did that. Are we sure it's a what and a not a 'who'?

Whatever, whoever— it's the same thing in my book. [He wasn't really ruling it out with the word choice.]

Sorry for the grim news. [As much as everyone needs to hear it.] The bow is why I'm pretty sure whatever did it could think clearly, and that it was some kinda message. Well, that and the weird feeling we got walking over there. It felt like someone was watching us.

...was the body found in a commonly used area of the ship? And don't worry about it. It's better to know what's going on now.

[Watching them. Well, that's nothing new to him.]

[That feels so nice for him to be saying, but this is a strange situation all around. He can't act like his usual joking self, and so many people are seeing it. Weird.]

It seemed like they were avoiding explaining what led to taking on refugees.

I was on my own mission down there, so I didn't really see what anyone else did. I had to bury some sort of blinking thing... somewhere no one would find it. That's all they said.

Who knows what happened with that, but before my buddy disappeared, he was still helping write out maps and all of that about where we stuck it. If you want to know why things blew up, you'll have to talk with people who went on the actual big mission itself.

A blinking thing? That sounds like a bomb! [Blinking thing? That's not really descriptive but, this paints a very disturbing picture.]

The more I hear, the more this gets worse. Is there...a list I could check? I don't want to draw too much attention to investigating this. It feels like they want everything quiet.

If there's a list, I don't know about it. You can probably check back on the network and see who talked about going on the mission, but I'm betting the big names probably held back from saying anything.

Probably for the same reason you're talking about.

Before we get further off topic...Did you get a good look at the bow of hair? I just had a thought.

Huh... I wasn't looking for anything like that. It was a clean little bow, as far as I could tell. Why does it matter if it was ripped or cut?

It could be the difference between a premeditated or an unplanned murder. It was probably cut but, it can't hurt to check.

All the evidence so far points towards the later.

Someone else said the guy didn't seem like he'd have any enemies. Not that I'm sure it rules it out, but, you know... Maybe it helps. I'm not good with this kinda stuff.

I only know so much about it. Someone on board probably knows more. It could be an enemy but it could also be a number of things. Anyway, I think we've found out all we can for now.

Sounds like it. Well... thanks, I guess. I kind of want to hold a funeral or something for the guy, but I'm not going to mess with it when I didn't know him. I'm sure his friends will decide what's best.

Yeah. It's best to let them handle it.
