[A video! Of a DROID. A dark faced droid with white photoreceptors looking at his video feed. If droids could have facial expressions, his would be confused, or annoyed, or a bit of both really.]

Handy man. I was assigned to be a handy man at a place called Nuts and Bolts. What an absurd name for a business. If they understood my capabilities they would understand they are well above “Handy Man”. I am not some simple labor droid.

[He pauses his rant, head lifting and looking back and forth, before continuing to speak again.]

This situation is abnormal. The odds that they are lying however appear to be low. The situation I recorded last was ... not good, so this could be considered a vast improvement. I am, however, unfamiliar with some of the technology here. They could have at least equipped me with some upgrades instead of this communication device.

[What a string of complaints! Oh right, this device. He looked down to it again, stared, then lifted his other hand near it.]

I am K-2SO. I am looking for those who may understand the call sign of “Rogue One” ... which is also an absurd name.

That is all. [and he would cut the feed unless someone replies to this. The odds of someone replying are high. The odds of it being someone he actually knows are about middle ground. That, to him, is being optimistic and hopeful]

[He does recognize 'Organa' as a name of importance. He may not know all of the Rebellion Commanders, leaders and other staff, but he does know of the name, so seeing the username does key him into some things. Especially with that comment.]

Then you might understand the place I have come from. You are not, however, one of the crew I was looking for.

[ He doesn't look like an astromech, what with the massive build and all, so it seems unlikely he falls under Luke's command. Odd. ]

I am. [ A curt nod. This is business now. Diplomacy. ] Princess Leia Organa of Alderaan. [ a beat. ] You're a rebel as well, then, though I don't think Rogue One is currently active.

[ Rogue Squadron's numbers begin at Two. ]

Bail Organa's daughter. [He stated as if to say he knew of her. Interesting.]

[Though as she mentioned Rogue One not being currently active, his head might have lowered, just a bit. His town flattening out a bit more.]

No. I would not think they were active anymore. The odds were against it. Unfortunately, my program was shut down before the mission was complete, so I am unsure about the results or whereabouts of the crew. You... know of them?

[ Oh. Oh. So he does mean that Rogue One. The one her father told her about. The rebels within the rebels who got the one thing that might stop other people from suffering the way she did, the way Alderaan did.

Suddenly, she thinks of Luke and Lando, of the anomalies potentially snagging people from divergent time points despite their shared universe. Something about the way the mention of her father, the connection to the Death Star, and the confirmation that it's possible to come from the future mix together leaves her nauseous. ]

I do. [ She clears her throat and tries to think of the letters she so often writes to the loved ones of deceased soldiers. A letter is easier than facing someone, even through a screen. And yet they all deserve more. ] The mission was completed. [ A brief hesitation. ] I can meet you for a full debriefing, if you like.

[The mission was completed. His head lifted at that. So they really did get the plans into the right hands. The Monk, the Warrior, the Pilot, the hand full of Rogue Rebels. Jyn and Cassian. The odds were so highly stacked against them.]

It is good to hear that the mission was completed. I have been told that others of the crew are here. I am about to meet with one now, but it is ...good to hear it was completed.

I... would like to hear more, however.

Congratulations, K-2SO. You should meet with your crew first. After saving the rebellion — well, some manner of celebration is in order.

[ She smiles, warm despite the sadness pulling at her. She still can't quite grasp how everything fits together (and where this crew falls in the events on and beyond Scarif), but there was so much sacrificed in the mission and the days that followed it, that her report of a successful, completed mission will be invariably tainted by death.

Such is the nature of rebellion. ] Maybe we can walk together in the atrium later.

Thank you, Princess Leia Organa. [Though he's not sure she should thank him for it. He's just a droid. Thanking Cassian and Jyn seem more important. And Bohdi. He was an imperial defector who with out him none of this would happen. Aparently he was here too.]

I believe I can find the atrium with no problem. [He can find anything with no problem. The map is easy enough.] When we meet, I can fill you in on the others who are here. You may find knowing about them important as well.

[ She nods in acknowledgment. ]

Then I look forward to it.

[ Not exactly. Curiosity and dread swirl in her head and heart, but she'll wait in the atrium all the same, composed as ever (well, if you forgive the way her measured loops of the area function as pacing). ]
