[ The shift is noticeable enough to Jim, even if he doesn't know Victor all that well. He says nothing to it, though his eyebrows lift just barely and he smiles as his eyes fall briefly to the ring Victor's idly fiddling with. That's really nice, he thinks. Jim knows what a relief it is to not be alone in a situation like this, and to have someone who's that much closer must feel even better. Despite the circumstances, it's good not to be alone. ]
